West African Percussion Classes are taught by Mohamed Tounkara of Guinea, West Africa. In Guinea, Mohamed served as percussionist, dancer, choreographer & assistant to the director of the renowned company, Le Ballet de Matam. Mohamed played percussion with several other companies in Guinea, as well as with his own music groups playing in Dundunba and Sabar celebrations, as well as on stages such as the French-Guinean Cultural Center.
Mohamed is a patient and generous teacher for all levels.
