Passport Project’s Global Community Arts Center is a safe place where visitors are encouraged to explore dance, music, and art from various cultures. It is a place where respect for diversity and rejection of racism and other negative biases are encouraged, and where information on how to encourage tolerance and combat hate is offered.

We offer classes and experiences for a more Aware, Healthy and Peaceful Society. All are welcome.

Passport Project's philosophy is that in dispelling ignorance concerning variations that occur from culture to culture, we will become a more peaceful society. We plant seeds for tolerance by encouraging the celebration of diversity, and by presenting diversity as the norm instead of something "exotic," or unusual.

We talk about the heartbeat as the rhythm that connects us all regardless of where we live in this world, our ethnicity, religion, socio-economic class or outward appearance. And from the heartbeat springs all of this wonderful dance and music that together we can explore here at the Center.

The Global Community Arts Center is an arts center with a global perspective. In two storefronts, which have been converted to dance/music/drama/visual art studios, classes are offered and performances and exhibits are held.

Classes in Capoeira, W. African dance and drumming, Middle Eastern Dance, Global Visual Art and Creative Movement, and Hip Hop are a few of our offerings. A Creative Music Improvisation class that explores rhythms, scales and meters used in music from India, Africa and the Middle East is a unique offering that reflects the Passport Project philosophy.

Rehearsals and performances of the Passport Project Global Dance & Music Collective are held here. This group of diverse artists share music and dance from various cultures with each other, and then perform in schools and in festivals, presenting a diverse face in the celebration of culture through the performing arts.

Located at 12801/12803 Buckeye Road, Cleveland, Ohio 44120, the Global Community Arts Center is easily accessible via RTA, and ample street parking is available.

We invite you to come take a class, see a performance, pick up literature on how to become a more tolerant and aware member of society.
